Nobel Peace Prize
If we can be privy to a conversation among our gods what might we hear them they say about Obama’s prize?
I believe they may be all excited to see if we get it this time.
We assign our gods infinite wisdom, knowledge, and power. And then we proceed to assign them with the responsibility of forgiving us. This must make them very sad, because they would like to teach and guide us while all we ask of them is forgiveness and acceptance. We can’t bear the thought of being rejected by them and we devise methods to ensure that we are on the “right” side. We all want to be the “favorite child.”
So they send us Obama- a man who heard the voice of good (god) and appeared on stage at just the right time (how clever of them). The only reason that he was allowed on the stage was because the previous act was so bad that enough people needed a change. Well now, there is a story in one bible about a Tower of Babel, I do believe in metaphors. Here we are, speaking but not listening, hearing but not understanding. All the man is trying to do is speak in simple truths but we have lost our capacity to see and hear clearly. We are forever looking for the hidden agendas, for the meaning behind the meaning, for “real” truth. The truth that will make us “special”.
Why did they choose Obama? They all gathered in the heavens and decided it was time for reflection here on earth, and to keep it simple they sent us a mirror. What a better tool to reflect with.
This is one of those moments when humanity can actually get the point. When the reflection is not so blurred. It is a moment to be seized and understood. The tower must come down and language regains its purpose.
The most amazing thing has happened. Those who hand out the award were listening with clarity and they understood the magnitude of their decision. I want to believe there was no hesitation in their choice.
I must confess that although I am disappointed by the reaction to the choice, I do believe that wisdom is a process and that our opportunity has not been lost.
He is a simple man who managed to infiltrate the fraternity of politics because we were not able to recognize him as being so different. The common belief was that we are all imposters, and the ones who play the game best will be anointed. We were distracted and he slipped under the radar. And the game goes on- or does it? We were fooled. This simple man has no game plan. He listens to his heart. He knows no rules. He calls himself a moderator. The Left is angry, the Right is hateful. How dare he not take sides? What do you mean by Centrist?
They sent us a mirror and asked us to look.
Do you think we can rise up?
