Obama and The Deficit
The main point that the Republicans and conservatives say about Obama is that he is causing a big deficit. On the campaign he said that Japan stayed in recession 10 years because it did not take bold decisions. He promised not to do that if he is elected. When he was elected he took the bold decision to spend as much money as needed to save the country from a complete collapse of the economy. I will mention one quote that I read in a nice article on this subject in Newsweek." Those obsessed with the deficit in a downturn are like those who get obsessed by water conservation while their house is on fire"
It was a bold and wise decision that Obama took to save the economy from a disaster created by the same people that caused the deficit. The economy will recover and close this deficit. Already some banks returned the money that saved them with 4 billions of interest. GM announced yesterday (Nov. 21) that it will start in December to pay back its loan from the government.
